Lifestyle Farmers Field Day

21 May 2011

Saturday 21 May 2011
9am - 4pm
Otaki Racecourse
Te Roto Rd, Otaki
Admission: Adults $5, children free.

The event is aimed at people living on lifestyle blocks, which can range in size from 1 to 50 acres. There are an estimated 100,000 lifestyle blocks in New Zealand, well over double the number of commercial farms and a significant number of these lifestyle blocks are in the lower half of the North Island.

The field day features exhibits covering a whole range of goods and services of special interest to lifestyle farmers. These include tractors, ride-on mowers, fencing equipment, hydroponics, plants, animals, general farm supplies, computers, green houses and a host of other products and services.

The event is also ideal for people who are thinking of buying a lifestyle block at some time in the future.

The field day will be held at the Otaki Racecourse which is located just off Rahui Rd in Otaki. If you are coming from the south, turn right at the roundabout by the BP Service station. If you are coming from the north it is a left hand turn. There is plenty of parking at the venue and light refreshments will be on sale. The event is well sign posted.
